Grape agate is very difficult to source now (and getting terrifyingly expensive) and we're very lucky to have found some old stock! There was a large earthquake in the one area in the world this material is mined, and all collecting is currently paused.

What the heck is botryoidal? It means that round tiny sphere shaped crystals that have naturally grown together. It forms in clusters that often resemble bunches of small grapes, and colors can range from pale to deep purple to green. Not only is the purple color prized by collectors, but specimens that include the full range of colors seen in the grape vine: from green to subtle browns to purple.
