Aletai Meteorite Pendant. Wear a space rock around your neck! Makes a truly out of this world gift. The Aletai Meteorite is a massive iron meteorite discovered in the Xinjiang region of China in 1898, with a total recovered weight of roughly 74 tons. It had a strewn field of roughly 500 km long, created when a massive meteor broke apart during atmospheric entry. Each has a natural structure with non‑repeatable pattern transitions and depth that changes under light.

Only about 5% of meteorites found on Earth are iron, and the Aletai material is highly collectable. They have been purchased from China from a member (#5382) of the International Meteorite Collectors Association (IMCA). The IMCA adheres to the highest standards of meteorite identification and proper labeling practices.
