Built in 1889 and home to host of saloons and confectioners early in the century, Sam's Loans moved to Michigan and Wabash in 1963. The structure was purchased from Sam's heirs in 2010 and soon became the Gold Cash Gold restaurant. The iconic yellow is now fully painted over (but with the loans ghost sign remaining) - and home to the local favorite spot, chef Mike Ransom's Ima Izakaya.
