How do I take care of my new face mask?

WASHING

Hand washing is always best for longevity, but machine washing is okay if you protect your mask so the ear loops do not get hung up on any other piece of clothing or part of your machine. It is best to put it inside a knotted pillowcase, lingerie bag, or even a pants pocket so it doesn't potentially get tangled up on anything.

DRYING

As for the dryer, yes...they can, be put in, but we really do not recommend it - hanging dry is preferable. Just because you can, doesn't mean you really should. ;) The inner lining is bamboo viscose which isn't a fan of high temps, but the biggest worry again is the longevity of your elastic ear loops, just like you don't put bras and hi-rent skivvies in the dryer, elastic can get easily tangled and stretched out of place, and will lose the one purpose it has in life, more quickly. Hanging dry is best for anything that has elastic bits.

IRONING

Do it! For any re-shaping needed after washing? A hot iron is totally safe - we heat set at 350-400 degrees in the printing process. Iron away!

CARE FOR OTHER OBJECTS!

How do I take care of my new tie or scarf?

Microfiber neckties, bow ties and pocket squares [Easy care!]:
Hand wash in cool water and take care not to rub the design too hard. Our graphics are heat set at 370 degrees for long life, but scrubbing can make the print less stable. You can also machine wash our microfiber neckties, bow ties and pocket squares on delicate in a mesh bag or knotted pillow case, really! You can also tumble dry them low in the same mesh bag or pillow case. (Wow!)  Please, though, neckties and bow ties must be corralled in a mesh bag. If they move freely in a machine dryer, they will tangle with other clothing and fall out of shape. Creases and folds? Iron on medium heat with a dry iron, no steam, you can iron directly on the design. Keep the iron moving so as not to scorch the fabric. Do not press hard. For kiddie ties, note that the clip-on hardware may cause trouble in your machine. It is preferable to wash clip-on ties by hand, or if you must machine wash, please put them in a mesh bag.

Dry cleaning: Please just alert your dry cleaner to take care of the design. Dry cleaning is not recommended for our red, yellow, glow, or metallic copper printing inks.

Silk neckties:
Spot clean or dry clean only, never machine wash or immerse in water. Creases and folds? Iron on medium to high heat with a dry iron - no steam - you can iron directly on the design. Boys and girls: Wash inside out. The dryer is not your friend. When in doubt, ask your mom. She knows more than you.
