Rainbow Moonstone, also known properly as White Labradorite, is actually a variety of Labradorite that exhibits flashy colors and play-of-color rainbows throughout. The name “Rainbow Moonstone” was given by the commercial lapidary and mineral communities as a trade name to describe this stone, even though it is Feldspar and not a true Orthoclase Moonstone.
