Tibetan Black Quartz Crystal Pendant, Large. Oxidized Electroformed Copper

$ 399.00

This product is unavailable

This nearly opaque, black quartz with horizontal time lines and striations is mined in the Himalayan Mountains of Tibet, one of the most sacred areas on Earth. The mines are not easily accessible by machinery, so most Tibetan Quartz is mined by hand, sometimes carried out in sacks by monks themselves.

Each is unique and one of a kind, and made by hand by metalworking artist and Well Done Goods by Cyberoptix founder, Bethany Shorb. Working between Detroit and Southern Arizona, she self-collects or sources all stone, shell, fossil and bone specimen materials in person from only the most reputable suppliers.

Electroforming results are unique to each specimen and will never be identical, even when crafted under what seems the same conditions. This nuance and variation is characteristic of the singularity of the piece and process.
